Jarek Kowalski
Jarek Kowalski was born in 1983 in Szczecin, Poland. From an early age he was interested in drawing, often doodling images of sports cars in his school notebooks and giving them away to his friends. Jarek later moved to Canada in his early teens and had a hard time fitting in to his new environment. As a way to cope, he started painting images inspired by his home country of Poland. Soon enough, his teachers and fellow classmates started to take noticed of his talent. It wasn't long before everyone wanted a custom drawing from him.
Jarek then decided to pursue his studies in Interior Design at Marie-Victorin College. Again noticing his talent, the school committee asks him to paint a large mural inside college’s wall. In 2005, Jarek became a finalist the Automobile Journalist Association of Canada's art contest.
After college, he starts his university studies and almost stops painting. Yet a Few years later, in 2010, he receives a contract to paint a six story high mural inside a freight elevator at the Loft Hotel in Montreal. This gave him the opportunity to get back into painting and experiment his graffiti style.
Finally in 2015, Jarek decides to launch himself as a professional artist. Encouraged by his friends and believing in his talent, he creates his website (http://www.jarekkowalski.com/) . In 2016, he is officially published in “Inspirational International Art Book vol.4”. Jarek is currently working on his first collection entitled “Transition”.
